Pulse Secure Wins Software Defined Vendor of the Year at CRN Channel Awards 2019

25-strong judging panel recognises development of new Software Defined technologies to help the channel meet growing demand for zero trust security

London, England – November 21, 2019 – Pulse Secure, the leading provider of software defined Secure Access solutions, has won the Software Defined Vendor of the Year category at the CRN Channel Awards 2019.

Now in its 26th year, the CRN Channel Awards is the most prestigious awards programme for the UK technology channel.  Hundreds of entries across the 28 categories are adjudicated by a 25-strong panel of industry experts judging every entry on merit.

Software Defined Vendor of the Year award recognises the overall contribution that Pulse Secure is making to business development in the UK channel, in terms of its product range and development, channel and marketing programmes, and service and support.

Pulse Secure provides Zero Trust-based Secure Access solutions which deliver protected connectivity, operational intelligence and threat response across mobile, network and cloud environments. The company’s popular Access Suites, offered as software on virtual, cloud or physical appliances, allows customers and services providers to provide easy, compliant application and resource access with centralized visibility and authorization leveraging their existing infrastructure.  This Suite is also available to Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) with accelerated, cost-effective means to differentiate and build out their service portfolio.

The award entry is open to all vendors that manufacture and sell a software-defined product whether this is Software defined networking, WAN, Storage or simply Software defined everything (SDX). The entrant must be able to show that they have helped their channel partners to build and grow a profitable business in 2018/2019.

Introduced this year, Pulse SDP provides direct device-to-application trusted connectivity only after successful user, device and security state verification, including geo location and behaviour-based anomaly detection. The software-driven solution extends the company’s foundation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) for hybrid IT environments while delivering provisioning simplicity, security posture fortification and lower total cost of ownership.

Receiving the award for Pulse Secure, Alan Finden, director – Channel and Distribution, EMEA said, “I would like to thank the judging panel for recognising our efforts to help the channel embrace a software defined approach to security.  This award is for the team at Pulse Secure and our partners that are working, often behind the scenes, to turn innovative thinking into viable products and services that deliver on the potential for this growing zero trust security market.”

Pulse Secure launched a major update to its “Access Now” channel programme in 2019 comprising of a simple three tier approach, with commensurate requisites, benefits and discounts, and offered an extensive training and certification programme. To further assure partner qualification, a new “demonstrated capabilities” component was assessed through a “validation audit” based on customer satisfaction that counted towards the applicable tier level. Over the last 12 months, Pulse Secure has carried out this audit process for 99% of the UK channel partners and delivered a record number of training sessions that have had over 500 attendees from 120 Preferred and Elite partners across Europe.
